Day 155 - Southwest base of Windy Joe Mountain to Manning Park - 4.4 miles - milepost 2663.5

Yesterday we made camp at about 3:00 PM even though we only had about 4 miles to get to Manning Park. We could have continued, but we had reservations at the lodge for today and we decided to stick to our original plan. The Waffles decided to continue to the lodge, and the Shiek stayed with Irish, Damp Dan, and I.

It started raining at about 7:30 PM and it continued all night long. My new tent worked great and my gear and I stayed completely dry.

We wanted to get to the lodge for breakfast so we all were hiking by 6:15 AM by the light of our headlamps. We made it to the lodge right as the restaurant was opening at 8:00 AM.

It still hasn't sunk in that the trek is over. We went through our normal in-town routine: laundry, hot tub, and relaxing. This time there was no worries about resupplying, however.

We met Scratch's brother Daniel, and Oasis and Scratches arived in the afternoon.

Take care and see you down the trail..
